Fatty Liver Disease

Fatty liver disease occurs when there is excess fat in the liver. The most common cause of fatty liver disease is alcoholism. Other causes include obesity, hyperlipidemia, or high levels of fats in the blood, diabetes, genetic inheritance, and rapid weight loss.
