Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a chronic condition with primary symptoms of abdominal pain and altered bowel habits, such as constipation and diarrhea. IBS is the most commonly diagnosed gastrointestinal condition.

Several treatments and therapies are available for irritable bowel syndrome. There is no cure for the condition, but there are methods to help alleviate symptoms. Individual cases may require a variation of treatment options including dietary changes, psychosocial therapies, and certain medications.

If you experience symptoms of IBS, please make an appointment to speak with your physician.
